Harmonized sales tax is the GST plus a provincial component, charged as one tax. For 2026, Ontario’s HST is 13% (5% plus 8%). Nova Scotia’s is 14% (5% plus 9%). New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island charge 15% (5% plus 10%).
